[Post from Paul] Flickering Flame

To all our thoughtful, prayerful and caring friends:

Ever since Pam was diagnosed fourteen months ago, people have regularly come up to me to ask how she’s doing, or to ask how I’m doing, or to ask how Angelique is doing.  It’s always the same questions; but as I think back I realize that the answers I’ve given are constantly changing.  They’re changing because the situation is constantly changing.

It really is remarkable how Pam has progressed from one situation to another, about how she’s lost functioning bit by bit.

She’s falling fast but at least, thank God, she’s not feeling any pain.  Ever since her meds were increased on Sunday she’s been able to manage it, the minute by minute, which means she can sleep the night through, which means I can sleep the night through.

At least there’s something to be happy about.

That’s it for now.  I can’t imagine things can continue much longer.

Love,

Paul
